Increase your weather window offshore with a heave compensation system.
A heave compensator reduces peak forces and fluctuations during lifting and lowering operations where waves are generating oscillating movements. This enables our clients to work longer at high sea states, minimise downtime and extend weather windows.
Efficient lifting operations
A heave compensation system is designed for lifting operations offshore. Standard system has a range up to 500 tonnes, other load limits are available on request.
A heavy compensatin system ensures the rope is kept at tension at all times, and reduces peaks and troughs by following the motion of the sea. This allows work to proceed safely, efficiently and in a controlled manner. The system is positioned between the hook of the crane and the load, and can also be used underwater. It operates as a stand-alone system, eliminating the need for an external power source.
Advantages
- For use both above and underwater
- No external power required
- Reduces costs by enabling you to work longer at high sea states
- No special lifting frames required
- Increases the operational weather window
