Water is an unwanted contaminant in hydraulic and lubrication systems. The presence of water significantly reduces the service life of the oil. The water-in-oil sensor is physically mounted on the bottom side of the oil tank and provides a reliable measurement of the free water in the oil. When a certain level is reached, the free water can be drained from the tank automatically or manually.
